Uncovering the Past

Brice Environmental’s Sr. Archaeologist, Ned Gaines was recently featured in an article titled Where Aviation Meets Archaeology published by the Federal Aviation Administration on November 24, 2020, on Medium. A great read, the article highlights Ned’s notable archaeological accomplishments on an FAA environmental project that Brice performed in the Aleutian Islands in the summer of 2019 during which Ned encountered human remains.

“I just kept going back to this one area,” explained Gaines.
“It was during evening time. I was just inspecting the site
when I saw what looked like a little bit of a bone sticking out.”

The environmental project itself was featured in SAME’s professional journal, The Military Engineer. Click here to read the full article.
