About a year ago, Brice Environmental kicked off our first Optimized Remediation Contract (ORC) at Beale AFB in California.
This was an exciting win for us, as the level of effort for ORC RFPs, is a rather heavy lift. And things are going well.
For Project Manager Leah Waller and Deputy PM Scott Dressler, it’s been like “coming home”.
Both have a long history working at Beale AFB over the years.
“Winning and delivering the Beale ORC has been exciting and kind of like coming home, since I originally grew up in Northern California,” said Leah. “It’s been wonderful to work with former colleagues, clients, and regulators again and with an amazing Brice team! We have a lot of fun!
Scott Dressler added: “Having worked in our industry for so long in this relatively rural part of northern California where Beale AFB is located, you realize how Beale has become a common thread in so many careers. People often finish a project, move on to other work, then return to Beale, sometimes several years later. Among those of us that have been involved at Beale for a while, it’s become known as the Hotel California, as in the song—you can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave! It’s very rewarding to bring in the outstanding young staff we have at Brice and help them to carry the program forward.”
